Monthly Science in the Pub gatherings explore hot topics in science, each month we bring together a panel of people with specific scientific expertise to help you form a rational, evidence-based opinion about the topic of the month.
Science Says! is science as you’ve never seen it before, and with a lot more laughter! Join us as brilliant scientists, gifted comedians and talented communicators use their wits and wittiness to uncover the top scientific discoveries of 2018 – and a few of the odder ones, too!
It’s an evening in the style of the great panel shows – think mixing Mock the Week, Spicks and Specks, and just a dash of QI. Last years’ shows saw physicists miming sticky saliva, professors donning hard hats, and biologists serenading the audience – all in the name science!
Perform your Science is an opportunity for PhD students and early-career researchers to tell their research stories through the arts. Winners were awarded grants to showcase their research on stage, in a live performance during National Science Week.
A snake tail: how sea snakes evolved light-sensitive skin

Jenna’s performance will examine the unusual ability of snake’s to sense light through their skin. Expect a bit of stand-up comedy, a touch of physical theatre and outrageous fashion.

Its a game of two truths, one line. The event consists of a panel of scientists taking turns to present three facts from their area of science, one of which they've completely made up. The other scientists then ask questions trying to figure out which is the false fact.
